Jason Hope the Scottsdale, Arizona Entrepreneur and Philanthropist

Jason Hope is joining the battle of fighting aging. He is the Arizona philanthropist who donated $500,000 to the SENS Foundation in 2010. The SENS Foundation is an organization striving to develop technology that will halt the diseases and conditions associated with aging: arthritis, cancer, osteoporosis, dementia and high blood pressure.

The SENS Foundation is led by Aubrey de Grey, the founder, chief science officer and leader of this 501(c) (3) nonprofit. De Grey has contributed more than $10 million to his foundation. The primary goal of the SENS Foundation is to reverse aging. The SENS Foundation is located at Mountain View, California.

With a dedicated focus on reversing aging or at least slowing it down, Jason Hope is once again forging ahead in a field with great growth potential. Jason Hope founded JAWA, a mobile communications company as his first entrepreneurial venture. Now, he focuses on biotechnology and invests in startups. He engages in philanthropy almost as frequently as he invests in new ventures.

To date, Jason Hope has given to many causes including youth empowerment and education related opportunities. In his recent history, Hope has helped the Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix, the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, the Worldwide Orphans Foundation, Teach for America and the Arizona Science Center. His other focus is health and the list of organizations he has contributed to is also lengthy: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Desert Mountain States Chapter, Family Health International, the TGen Foundation, the Tony Hawk Foundation, the True Colors Fund, and the Andre Agassi Foundation.

In addition to his interests in business, Hope has a strong interest in state and national politics. He is especially interested in how politics affect business. Jason Hope grew up in Tempe, Arizona. After high school, he studied finance, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business. He attended Arizona State and earned a Master’s Degree in finance. Hope now lives in Scottsdale with his family.
